Child care professionals are required by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families to obtain between 8 and 20 hours of staff development every year. Online course work is not recognized by the New Jersey Department of Human Services as eligible course work for State funded scholarship or reimbursement programs. *Through the Strategic Initiatives Department, NOVA may apply up to 9 credits toward a Bachelor of Science when a student obtains their CDA from the National Council by completing the Smart Horizons approved course work.
