Financial Assistance

Need help paying for Child Care?

Information on Financial Assistance for Child Care

We understand that for many New Jersey families, it is difficult to pay for the child care you need for your children while you work or are in school. Currently, financial assistance is available for families under these programs:

  • Work First New Jersey:
If you are a participant in this program you immediately qualify for financial assistance for the child care you select.

  • Center Based Contracted Child Care Centers:
These licensed child care centers have contracts with the NJ Department of Human Services to offer child care to eligible families, requiring a "co-pay" that is based upon your income and family size.

  • New Jersey Cares for Kids:
This subsidy program offers eligible parents a financial assistance voucher which may be used towards the child care program of choice.
  •
  • Preschool Advantage:
Preschool Advantage funds quality preschool education in Morris County and surrounding communities for children of families in need. For more information contact the Preschool Advantage office at 973-532-2501 or visit their website Preschooladvantage.org
